Our
classes

Here you can click to easily see what classes fit you.

Are you comfortable in heat and it’s refreshing, cleansing effect or do you prefer room temperature?

Are you new to yoga or have you been practising it for a while now?

Our yoga program is structurized to meet the requirements of anyone that visits us.
If you’re new to this you might want to start with the basics and choose a class under the category Beginner, and if you’re more experienced you can take on all sorts of levels.

Bikram

Our warmest class – more than 40 degrees with extra added humidity. The warmth softens up our muscles and joints and stimulates the body’s own detoxification process through sweating. The class consists of 26 asanas (positions) which work through the body symmetrically. The pace is slow but the heat makes this a tough class. Be prepared for a challenge!

Level: All levels

Mandatory equipment: Yoga mat, towel and water

Ashtanga

For those that practice at least three times a week.

Prerequisite: Hot Ashtanga. You will get the teacher’s approval to move on to this class.

Even those of you that have practiced yoga previously need to start with Hot Ashtanga so that you learn and understand the principles that we adhere to. This is a led class where we go through large parts of the Ashtanga sequence, focusing on the rhythm of the breath, correct alignment and awareness.

Level: Know your basics

Mandatory equipment: Yoga mat

Hot Ashtanga

Ashtanga is one of the classic forms of yoga. It’s a dynamic and challenging form of yoga that builds strength, flexibility and mental focus.

It also has a higher rate of injury compared to other forms of yoga if done incorrectly. Even small mistakes can with time have serious consequences. Therefore it is of outmost importance to set a solid foundation and learn the correct technique and breathing which is exactly what you will do in this class. We will teach you breathing, two kinds of sun salutations and some basic poses.

This class is perfect if you are new to yoga but also extremely useful for more experienced practitioners that want to learn how to maximise the benefits of their practice and avoid injury.

Level: Beginners

Mandatory equipment: Yoga Mat

Ashtanga Mysore

For those that practice at least three times a week. Prerequisite: Hot Ashtanga. You will get the teacher’s approval to move on to this class.

Even those of you that have practiced yoga previously need to start with Hot Ashtanga so that you learn and understand the principles that we adhere to.

Everyone works independently, in their own rhythm with ongoing instructions from the teacher. You will learn the Ashtanga sequence step by step as it was originally passed on from teacher to student.

The time is flexible (you can start and finish earlier if you need to go to work). We have group chanting at 06:30 and 08:00 vs 17:30 and 19:00 in the evenings.

Level: Know your basics

Mandatory equipment: Yoga mat

Hot Vinyasa

Prerequisites: First Hot Ashtanga or Hatha and then Ashtanga Mysore. You will get the teacher’s approval to move on to this class.

Even those of you that have practiced yoga previously need to start with Hot Ashtanga so that you learn and understand the principles that we adhere to.

The class builds further on the strength, breath control and body awareness you have cultivated in the previous classes.

Level: Know your basics

Yin / Hot Yin

A slow class where stay up to five minutes in each position.

The reasoning behind this is that, instead of focusing on the muscles which are regarded as the active tissues (Yang) we direct our energy and attention to the skeleton, fascia and ligaments which belong to the passive (Yin) parts of the body. These tissues have a very different quality and require a different rhythm and methods.

This class is in other words very calm and if you will, passive (we let gravity help us) and it serves as excellent complement to the other classes you can choose from here at YogAhimsa.

Level: All levels

Mandatory equipment: Yoga mat & towel

YogaStyrka’s strength class tailored for our students. This is not a Yoga class but a challenging, intense class based on circuit training.

Level: All levels

Yoga Booty ©

The class for everyone the wants to strengthen the posterior chain, improve their posture and build a solid rear end.

We will challenge each and every muscle in the bum, legs and lower back. The exercises are based around both strength and lactic acid which promotes hormones beneficial for fat burning and tissue repair.

As babies we are all cute, cuddly and full of cellulites but as we activate and strengthen our muscles the cellulites disappear and this class is abased around that principle.

Level: All levels

Our own concept were we utilise HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) which is the modern method to quickly increase one´s metabolism, reduce weight and get a stronger condition. Maximal payoff in minimal time.
